ALVARO CHAVARRIA - STREET CULTURE MAGAZINE
Street Culture Magazine was founded by Alvaro Chavarria on January 20, 2020 with the aim of building an alternative means of communication that would open the doors to bmx riders around the world. Throughout these 3 years we have reached different bmx scenes worldwide, this has made us connect with amazing athletes from young Ukrainian promises such as Volodymyr Oleksiuk and Andrew Nesterov to producing the first underground video parts of the underground scene Brazilian to reach DIG BMX in collaboration with team memberJunior Cunha and his brand THE GANG CO . It has been 3 years in which we have reached riders throughout Latin America, Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, North America ,Ukraine ,Australia and in Asia that we are progressively reaching Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Thai bmx .
When we decided to search for this intercontinental coverage, it was with the intention of discovering the stars in the shadow of the underground that have not been able to shine worldwide. Our projection for the next 5 years is to be the main means of communication to promote riders and help them reach the mainstream world bmx scene, in order to achieve the professionalism of street bmx so that it becomes an Olympic sport in the same way. in which he did the bmx park.

At the end of 2021 Junior Cunha his first approaches to street culture magazine, the months passed and we began the process for his first video part pro with the material recorded on his trip to Barcelona and with clips recorded for his brand THE GANG CO , months passed and on august 5, 2022 junior returns to dig bmx with one of the best video parts seen in the brazilian bmx scene, video part that opened the doors to all brazilian street bmx.
Seeing a 15-year-old boy without professional sponsors, born in the south of Brazil, a young man with less than 5 years of riding bmx, seeing him reach dig bmx, is seeing the beginning of a young promise. For this video part, Junior Cunha told me about his project he had with Matheus, so when Junior finished the editing process, I took a look at it and was simply amazed at what a masterpiece they produced.
