where to start? It's been more than 10 years on a bmx but this biography reminded me of when the bmx was an ordinary bike they weren't ramps they weren't slopes they were bumps and sidewalks playing races with friends to see who had the fastest bike with better brakes who skidded the most and those childhood things all this reminds me that all my life I have spent on a bicycle but the big change was 11 years ago when I got to know bmx after watching the xgames that were broadcast on TV I remember that at that time I I helped my grandmother at the family store, there I attended to the people who came to the gift shop after seeing that broadcast, the only thing I wanted was a bmx to be able to do everything I've seen in that amount. I remember that the runner was Ron Ross. which started doing a floor barspin followed by a talwhip seeing this was something that surprised me a lot since I thought something like this was impossible after that the only thing I could do was tell my father what I had seen and ask him a jump bike when I was only 14 years old and receiving only 100 pesos a week to help my grandmother, it was almost impossible for me to buy one on my own, so my father proposed a deal which tried to help him remodel a preschool in the which my little sister was doing during the last holidays of the year, which are November and December, I agreed immediately, so I started to help my father. I don't remember how long we helped him, my brother and I don't remember how long this was, but at the end and deliver the job my father gave my brother and me 1500 pesos my father told me that he would go to Mexico City to buy merchandise for the store since December is a busy time to buy a bicycle since there are more cheap that if we found a bike that I liked and I was missing it I would put the missing one when I got to the city I remember going to every bike shop I found and always asking the vendors the same thing: do you have bmx bikes?
CHAPTER 31 - ARTURO ROMERO , MEXICO

They had shown me similar bikes but not like the one I had seen in those xgames when I couldn't find any like the one I wanted and I didn't want to go without a bmx I went to the last store and asked for one that more or less resembled it, it was big and heavy With your rectangular rotor and four huge pegs, happy with my purchase and with everything we had to supply, we returned to the city of Querétaro where I am from. handlebars like aron ross hahaha there I realized that it was not as easy as I had seen it, I was away from any idea of this, the most I could jump was a bench no more than 10 cm high after time and now a little more Accustomed to my 100-kilo bike, I went to a sports unit that was close to my house, because I accompanied my mother to exercise while she went to her classes, I went to the skate park that was in there with a bowl. badly done and rails that moved there were kids who gathered there many on skateboards and only two or three on real bmx I was excited to see them jump and do 180 degree turns I immediately approached and asked what all the excited vato does, how do you make him jump? The guy, somewhat confused by seeing my bike, explained to me or at least I tried to when I saw his bike, I began to ask a series of questions about his bike. After some time, I went there almost every day in the afternoon when my mother went to exercise with him. As time went by, my friends began to make these guys and they explained to me in more depth how to do the support until one of them offered me a painting for 500 pesos, a little better adapted And already with input for some levers without money I offered to give him 100 pesos a week since it was what he earned by helping my grandmother he agreed since he understood my situation I continued practicing day after day meeting more people who were supporting since I always showed a lot of interest in this, some time later I got to know the park that would be my second home and the only one with a level that there was not in the whole country the park of the camphors south east section was in the center of the city since it was one of the older park and there were the only wooden ramps made for the bmx park in which part of the props 2000 by shadow was recorded when I got to the park I could see what the real bmx was to see kids flying from one side of the ramp to the other turning their handlebars and their bikes doing 360 degrees pfff I was speechless dying to do all that asking how can you go further? How do I get on? I was so excited that I took my pedalie bike at full speed and reached the top of the smallest ramp for the next 10 years, that park would be what I would do until now, meeting people and friends that would bring me closer and closer, this at In the beginning it was every Sunday and accompanied by my father and sister who went for a walk while I stayed on the ramps trying to jump and do the same as what I had seen in that xgames transmission over time I was acquiring better pieces I was getting to know more people and the best the experiences and teachings of all those people, in fact one of the first tricks I wanted to download was backflip it was like the best of the best because if you did a backflip you were already someone good so I decided to practice that deadly backwards How many knew him I did that one day when I met two friends Oscar and Sebastián thank you that they had a piece of land where I had built a dump with a ground receiver it's easy decimal just let yourself go back when I got to the land I visualized myself doing that trick I meditated on it for hours
Until I gave myself the courage to do it, I got on the starter, breathed, and jumped towards the jump starter, it was the first into to, and as every first attempt failed, but I didn't give up, I got back on the starter and they explained to me that when I got out of the jump starter, I had to pull my body backwards and keep it that way, I decided, I went back to the jumper remembering what they had told me, so that when I came to the ditch, I had already finished most of the turn, in an air of astonishment I dropped the bike and fell to the side, I got back on the starter and without thinking anymore I went at full speed when leaving I only heard my friends say pull him harder I pulled so hard that I only realized when I was already near the hall with the bike at my feet I was so excited and happy that I returned home to tell everyone my achievement that was one of my first tricks as time went by and my lighter bike i kept riding and practicing always for the fun of riding my first sponsor a local shop called krazy painters from me A neighborhood that always and to date continues to support me with this, my second sponsor, a good friend from another city, a bike shop called Bufalo Ride Store, thanks to him, I have been able to continue riding for more than 10 years and I hope to be able to continue for longer, the bike has changed so much. My life and more than anything has taught me that the best thing in life is sharing with people who have the same taste for the bike as you, those who can understand you and understand all the riders, those moments are worth more than anything, those people I don't know what It would have been in my life if I hadn't found BMX my name is, Arturo Romero Garcia
