CHAPTER FOUR- GIANO VACCA
"This year I will be 25 years old and I have been riding for almost 12 years, half my life has been spent on my bike and it has been a lot of fun especially because anywhere I can find a spot where I can practice fun and complex tricks.
I was born in the municipality of Übach-Palenberg in Germany near the city of Aachen, although my environment is somewhat rural there are hundreds of local spots that have made me develop my creativity to a level of which I feel quite proud since even the least place thought it becomes a spot to improvise many fun lines.
I also love riding bmx in skateparks because it has allowed me to perfect my style of riding, although it has taken me hundreds of tries to perform each line that I have recorded for my instagram profile, although falls are very common, they are the main reason why bmx becomes fun since they motivate me to get the tricks that I propose and thus be able to get a good clip for instagram.
Everyone has their hobby of course, but for me bmx has been particularly fun and interesting.
Since I started working for Wethepeople and People Store I have recorded several videos, one of them was the "always jibbing" video, which was filmed in local spots and in some spots in nearby cities, this video was a great challenge for me since as Many know that I am still riding with a cassette hub and I did not make the transition to a freecoaster, but this time the challenge was to film my first video part pro in which all the work done over the years to perfect my style , although there is already a lot few riders who use cassette I feel that recording complex combos with cassette makes me have a lot of fun recording since each line and each combo requires a lot of technique and coordination to come out as perfect as possible.
I hope to be able to travel whenever I can, I really want to film videos in other cities in Germany, but in the meantime I will continue to make the most of my local spots.
Living near the border with the Netherlands can be somewhat fun since they are rural cities with Gothic and Renaissance style architecture, so the spots are somewhat different, rather very different from what you would find in Berlin-Cologne-London or california but even so the aachen spots can be a great challenge to unleash great creativity or to film really street video parts, it's quite fun.
I don't know what will happen in the future but bmx is fun and I love the routine of working - saving to travel to ride a bmx to other cities, it's quite fun and it makes me happy."
You already know if bmx makes you happy you have already won in life since bmx will give you a great and relaxed life like the one Giano Vacca has had
